The tragic passing of Nathan Garcia, a student at California State University living in Los Angeles, California, has occurred. The identity of the seventeen-year-old boy who was killed after he was struck and killed by a vehicle on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles was released Tuesday by county officials who were able to identify the incident.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's office has identified the pedestrian who sustained injuries in the accident as 17-year-old Nathan Garcia. At the scene of the accident, Garcia was pronounced dead by medical personnel. The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred on the southbound freeway at West Century Boulevard at approximately 3:50 a.m. Sunday. The location of the crash was identified as West Century Boulevard.
Around 4:42 in the morning when the SigAlert was activated, which led to the closure of Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the southbound freeway for an extended period of at least two hours in length.
